The rising Saturday sun brought the entire world to life. As the end of October grew ever nearer, the days were becoming shorter, and the sun shined earlier.
Birds awoke, springing forth from their nests on trees to find food that was still just struggling awake. Their chittering and whistling of shrill song slowly grew as more and more sprang forth from their nest in the search of wriggling insects.
A diverging sound built slowly but steadily, as the rhythmic clacking of an artificial creation smacking against the pavement overpowered the sound of birds hunting their waking prey.

“Okay students. Have a good weekend.” Lilly said as the bell rang and the students headed to their final classes. “Remember we still need a nurse for the Capulet family! If anyone would like to volunteer…” she called after them, but nobody seemed to jump at the bait. “Fooey.” Lilly said, after all the students left.
Rai hadn’t moved much since she and Lilly had been called leads. She looked over Lilly, who was slumped against her desk pouting. She groaned and walked up, trying not to think of how she spent last night grabbing her plush body, and how she’d be likely doing that f

Rai Kato couldn’t see. She opened her eyes, expecting something, anything, but received nothing. Not even darkness was visible to her. She reached up to her face, feeling for some sort of blindfold, but found nothing of the sort. Her hands groped her face fruitlessly as she felt her bangs and then the skin of her eyes, and it finally dawned upon her that she was blind.
She wasn’t scared. She knew she should be panicking, but she wasn’t. She simply stood, her head twisting back and forth in an effort to see, to look around, but to no avail. She huffed, tucking her arms to her chest more out of frustration than anyt

The sense of movement was what awoke Lilly from her dream. She felt the bed shake, and slowly her sense of hearing picked up the soft harp music of Hisao’s alarm. She heard him exhale as he stood from the bed and walked over to his dresser and the alarm placed upon it. The music, from some old video game that Lilly had long forgotten the name of, was called Harvest Dawn. She smiled, remembering how he’d made the effort to switching from such a loud standard alarm to something soft, to ensure she’d sleep as long as she needed.
Lilly sat up in bed, groaning slightly in response to her stomach pooching in her lap. Sh

Can someone please tell me how a blind woman has better handwriting than I do? Rai thought to herself as she looked over Lilly’s notes. The young woman may have walked away from yesterday with less alcohol in her than her indulgent friend, but the paperwork that was placed in front of her now was giving her a headache.
Lilly was unable to make it to class today, so it fell to the assistants to lead class in her stead. That responsibility fell to Rai for today, and the others would remain as assistants to their students, as well as one would ensure Ben got to class. Rai groaned as she had sat at Lilly’s desk and read her

The first thing that hit her was the smell.
Lilly felt herself stir as a most wondrous smell filled her nose. The smell of baked goods was pleasantly familiar to her, and filled her with a sense of wanting. It was not just any scent that permeated through the blonde though.
“Blueberries…” she muttered to herself.
It was then that she heard a noise of what sounded like cheering, and the edge of a chair against her back as her other senses caught up. The feeling of a hand on her shoulder startled her, until she recognized the familiar touch of her husband.
Before she had time to think, a voice boomed over what sounded like

Lilly and Rai walked through the main doors of the mall into the cooling evening.
“Brr,” Rai said, shivering. “I thought it wasn’t supposed to get cold for at least another two months.”
“I quite like the winter, myself.” Lilly said, smiling. In her off-hand, she carried multiple bags from the shopping they had done. They had stopped at a few other locations in the mall after their dress shopping, picking up more clothing that Lilly could wear at work as well as relaxing at home. She tapped away with her cane in her main hand, and Rai wondered if it was more for show or if she actually knew where the

Lilly’s stomach growled hungrily at her as she prepared tea for her groups’ lunch. She hadn’t eaten since breakfast, something that had become sort of an oddity to the buxom blonde. She hadn’t had an especially large one either, just a bowl of cereal with one or two cupcakes… maybe three. It was such a new thing to her. Her increased appetite seemed to strike her overnight. She silently hushed her aching tummy, and hoped that her dutiful husband would bring a suitable meal.
It was not meant to be however. Hisao, in an attempt to please his wife after such a feast-filled day yesterday, had actually gotten her les

Lilly lay in bed, motionless.
She listened to the sounds of her husband rummaging through their dresser as he was taking out what must have been his running clothes. She knew the sun must barely be risen, but that Hisao’s dedication to his morning exercise would keep him going out even as the weather became colder.
To his credit, Hisao was nearly silent as he did so, and Lilly was normally a heavy sleeper, especially as of late, but this morning she had planned on waking up as he did.
Lilly listened to Hisao’s footsteps as he walked to the bathroom to brush his teeth before he left, sitting up when she heard him finally leave t

“Okay, club members!” Kim called out to get the class’s attention. “Today, being the first Monday of the month, is secret product day! Now I know you’re all quaking with anticipation.” Lilly could hear stifled laughter from the students. “Today, we will be making cupcakes!”
Lilly could hear Rai gasp slightly, and an amused smile crossed her face.
“You will be able to make any flavor of your choosing, as well as icing. However, the leading group of myself, Ms. Kato, and lead by Mrs. Nakai here, will be making French Vanilla cupcakes.”
Lilly was surprised, until she heard Kim whisper
